One more thing we beat OSU at!
I thought I read somewhere that the wall for students to jump over was 9 feet. It is a wonder that more people were not injured.
It helps that the ROTC working our games was specifically instructed to help students get down the wall should they rush the field after a big win like Iowa & OSU.
I rushed the field with my 7 year old son after the OSU game. I was really impressed with how safe I felt doing it. Granted we waited about 5 minutes to let the crazies out first, but once out there it was just singing and celebrating. Nothing dangerous, no pushing or shoving, just good times.
I was at the Iowa game too, but chose not to rush the field on that one. It looked civilized too.
