Yes and of course that they are not treated as the world beaters that they are.
I thought their AD wanted them in Shreveport?? What a bunch of idiots!
And here comes Mizzoulander to the rescue!
Why are they complaining it's SEC territory.
Did you read the article?
Bigger injustice: Mizzou to Independence Bowl or Gary Pinkel's inhumane treatment of the alphabet?
Did you guys even read the article? No, you only read the headline! I have no love for Missouri but they were not complaining.
No one in the article thought they got hosed. Can you read?
This was the only comment worth noting in that entire story...
"Worse than either of those is Virginia Tech being selected for the Sugar Bowl."
Actually I did read the article before I even posted it.
First the title. How can you even compare the two? How is this an injustice at all?
Second, did you read the article?
Translation. We always get screwed by the Big 12 so we really can't expect any more.Quote:
Particularly considering the way the Big 12 bowl slotting has worked in the past, as Mizzou fans know, it's really no surprise Mizzou was left on the outside looking in from Big 12 bowls as it heads out of the league. Business as usual doesn't seem like such an injustice in a sense.
Translation. Same as above, plus we are so much better than the Big 12.Quote:
Missouri's fate was not so shocking given its lame duck status in the Big 12. But despite being leapfrogged by Iowa State, Mizzou took the high road and refrained from criticism.
I guess my real disgust comes from them thinking they got hosed to begin with. Isn't there a rule that states a team with a winning % has to be taken by a bowl in conference tie ins before teams with a even record? Basically, Missouri would have to of chose to go to the Independence Bowl over the Pinstripe. Missouri wasn't left out of a Big 12 bowl, Missouri chose to be out of the Big 12 bowl selection. Most likely they saw this as a chance to play in SEC country.
BTW, Mizzou fans don't travel. At all.
