Today my co-worker and I were (for some reason) talking about the years when Kansas had Todd Reesing and how glad we were when he graduated...so I was just curious over the years in any sport who were you guys happiest to see go pro or graduate?
Jason Sutherland, white dude who played at Mizzou in the early/mid 90's. Not because he was a great player or an ISU killer but because the guy was a ***** and for whatever reason my hatred for Mizzou bball at that time rivaled how I feel about Husker football.
Speaking of Kansas....Jacques Vaughn would be #1 on my list. Seemed like that guy played 10 years for Kansas. Overrated and overhyped in my opinion.
Hey, not so fast, there. He had a great NBA career for a player selected with the #27 pick. Courtesy of Wikipedia:
"Over his career, he averaged 4.5 points per game and 2.5 assists per game. He also set an NBA record for consecutive missed field goal attempts to open a season, missing his first 22 to start the 2001 season with the Atlanta Hawks."
"There are five real good recruits in the state. We got three of them. One couldn’t get into school, and the other went to (the University of) Iowa...which is about the same thing." - Coach Johnny Orr
