Yet, people can find things to ***** about regarding our sellouts.

Re: A&M MBB basically giving tickets away
They have like 50,000 students and their support for any sport non-football is sad compared to the number of students they have.

Re: A&M MBB basically giving tickets away
Is DoubleDave's pizza any good?

Re: A&M MBB basically giving tickets away
We had some cheap football tickets this year but 2 for 10? Wow.

Re: A&M MBB basically giving tickets away
I have high expectations for our crowds. I think that we owe it to the team to be as loud and supportive as we can, no matter what.
But crap like this makes me appreciate what we do have. Obviously, our crowds could be better, but its been amazing how people have stuck with the team throughout a pretty bad 11 years of basketball. That's why I think everyone should be excited and pumped and early and loud THIS year. Since we finally don't suck.

Sounds like somebody could make a cheap date out of it.

Iowa is letting students in for free - and it will still be empty...

Re: A&M MBB basically giving tickets away
I watched the end of the Iowa vs PSU game and McD's or some burger joint was giving away hamburgers if PSU scored 70 points. The few people in the stands were all excited because they were at 69 points with one free throw left with less than a minute in the game - they missed the free throw and missed getting free hamburgers and they were not happy. I guess if I had to watch PSU play basketball the least they could do is give away food.

My experience with aTm grads is that they "don't care about basketball until the tournament." Maybe that has something to do with me being in Houston (a professional sports town). Or maybe that's all Ags.

Credit to Pat Chambers though. He felt so bad about his team's ability to even score 70 that he gave out free burgers to students later in the week. Penn State basketball coach Patrick Chambers serves up make-good at McDonald's | PennLive.com -

They'll fit in perfectly in the SEC where no one outside of Lexington, KY cares about college hoops.
