MU Football Changes
The MU AD sent out a letter that stated:
(1) MU switching its turf back to natural grass field this summer.
(2) Expect ticket price increases.
(3) According to SEC rules, no more exit/re-entry at football games.
Guess the hillbillies won't be able to visit the still in the parking lot to get their drink on at halftime anymore.

Re: MU Football Changes
Will not the Antlers have to be relocated also?
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -
Re: MU Football Changes
I have several friends who are MU fans. They have slowly turned into the most obnoxious of the fan bases I am exposed to.

Nothing EXTREME...
Their turf was crap.
A lot of schools are upping prices... Iowa (although only $3), chance we will with 7 games.
I would favor a no exit re-entry. JTS looks like crap at the beginning of each half.
I wouldn't be suprised if we did 2 out of 3 in the future.

I wouldn't be suprised if we did 2 out of 3 in the future. I'll keep that in mind as I continue to enjoy my halftimes in the parking lot. You know, with the rest of the people that are at the game to enjoy themselves and couldn't give two ***** less what it looks like on TV.

Re: MU Football Changes
Don't care that the place looks like crap on television at the beginning of the third quarter. I'm busy being there...having fun at halftime.

Not to be a ****, but you don't enjoy yourself when you're actually in the stadium watching the game?
(Ok...it was kind of to be a ****.)

(Ok...it was kind of to be a ****.) I enjoy being in the stadium, watching the game. I don't enjoy being in the stadium, watching the band. If I miss on the timing by a few minutes, I think the game will go on without me.

Maybe it's just because I was in the band, do enjoy watching them, and would hate to miss the beginning of the second half, but leaving at the half just never seemed worth it to me. It's only 15 minutes and by the time you get out of the stadium, walk to your tailgate, get set up again, it just doesn't seem like you actually have all that much time to enjoy your parking lot half-time anyway. Different strokes I guess, I've just never understood it.

(4) Gary Pinkel will have a breathalizer test administered prior to each game, during halftime, and prior to leaving the stadium to drive home after the game.
(5) Budget cuts. Mizzou is dropping their cheer squads, switching from Gatorade to water on the sidelines, cutting all athletic training staff, eliminating all security at the games, and purchasing all team equipment at Play it Again Sports to save money and expand their recruiting (buying players budget). It's the SEC... go big or go home. -

Mine is that I dont need to be rip roaring drunk all game to enjoy it. I'm at that point in life where walking 5 minutes chug a beer or three and walk 5 minutes back doesn't bring any extra joy. Man it's a ***** when you get older.
I'll drink before...
Also I dont care either about looks on tv on this subject. I really could care less.. But as long as someone like you will take it personally on this subject I might as well egg it on.

I agree with this now...but there is no way in hell I could of made that statement during the 2003, 2006, and the Chizik years.

Re: MU Football Changes
In addition to increase in ticket prices they are dropping traditon of "grandfathering in ticket holders for certain sections" i.e. they will now need to make donation for certain sections. And they are increasing parking dontions requirements.
Small price to pay for the ability to crap on your 100 year old friends.
