TCU Basketball

TCU won again today against #21 New Mexico to go with their win over #11 UNLV. They have now won 4 of the last 5 and are 17-11 (7-5) in the MWC. They still have a good chance of winning the next 2 and ending the year 19-11 (9-5). Their RPI before today was #98. They have a win over Virginia and Texas Tech too.

Not great, but better than I thought. Should be able to come in and compete next year. 6,460 in attendance is pretty sad though even with only a 7,200 seat arena.

Better than TTech....might be as good as aTm.

TCU will not be last in the Big 12 next year.

I was thinking the same thing after noticing their win today. I don't think TCU is going to be the push-over some fans think they will be when they join the Big 12 next season. I am very excited for West Virginia joining the conference, but I am more surprised with TCU's performance this season and hope that they can continue that success to make the Big 12 the best b-ball conference in the country.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Tech has that spot reserved for a while.

True, that team is going to take a long time to rebuild. I think TCU will probably finish 8th next year.

TCU loses 3 starting seniors.

Sigh. Their game atmosphere makes me sad. Hopefully they dump some new TV money into basketball. They haven't made the tournament since 1995.

That was said when CFH was hired. BG has already turned around one Big 12 program quickly- I bet he does it again.

I would certainly take a bet on that! TCU will not finish higher than 9th in the Big 12 next season. An 18 game conference schedule against teams as good as we have will smack them around.

Actually replacing A and M, right now they might be better. Better RPI anyway, we would be better off with a sweep of TCU than a sweep of A and M right now.

Minus Lewandowski, they return everyone. They are a team of freshman and sophomores with a couple quality redshirts, and have a good coach and decent recruits.Expect a quick turnaround.
