Why the Baylor hate?

I don't know. I want Baylor to win the big 12 tournament, and was cheering for them to beat Kansas.

Don't get it either. Baylor has always been another school I could relate to as a Cyclone fan in our conference. I'll absolutely be pulling for them tomorrow in the Big 12 tourney championship.

I agree. I can find a reason to dislike most of the other teams in the Big 12, but as CW would say, Baylor is Baylor is Baylor is Baylor.

I don't think it's hate for Baylor. I think is more about being displaced in the pecking order by a school that most fans feel has no business being good at basketball. Add to that the belief that Drew isn't exactly doing things on the up-and-up, and you have a lot of folks cheering against the Bears.

- Awful fanbase. Easily worst in the Big 12.
- School with no historical success going from murder cover-up to getting top 5 recruits in less than a decade...seems legit.
- Personal reasons. Had a friend who was a student there and she was treated terribly by the university. I cannot respect them at all as an institution.
- Scott Drew.

During basketball season, I hate Baylor more than any Big 12 school (not counting the traitors, as they aren't Big 12 schools anymore).

I don't hate Baylor, but I'm not a believer, either. I've just never bought into the hype around that program (much like I don't buy any team coached by Calipari these days). So as far as wanting them to have success, I'm indifferent. But I do think they're overrated.

People probably feel the same about us. Doormat to 3rd place in a year. Not like we have a rich history other than a few great years.

Not sure what you mean by awful fanbase. Does that mean in support of their athletics or as in fan to fan relations when taking a trip to Waco? We also came a long ways in a short time by way of the transfer route. Not getting top 5 recruits yet but next year's class is looking very up. Personal reasons I won't touch on. I know of a few people who went there but do not know them closely though I have not heard anything bad from any that have attended. Scott Drew is Scott Drew.

I've been wondering about their top 10 status this season as well. They have only lost to tourney teams this year. I never really felt like they were top 10 material but their performance is hard to doubt. If Wisconsin can be top 15 then Baylor would have to be top 10. Hard to discredit a season where you only lose to KU, MU, ISU, and KSU and are now in the conference championship.
