I can't and wont argue against this.

Big 12 has been under appriciated all year (yes I am a Iowa fan), and the Big Ten has been blow up a little to much. Over all I have enjoyed this season, by both the big ten and big 12.

That said....Regardless who won today...I had Kentucky winning it all...

They hype all season about the Big 10 was B.S. and we all knew it. They were a good conference this year, but nowhere near as good as the media portrayed them. Was the Big 12 better? I don't know, but there is no way that the Big 12 was worse!

BTW, if the B12 had gotten the kind of hype that the B10 got this year, ISU would have had a four seed and would have gone very deep into this tournament!

The Big 10 was good this year. The difference is when the Big 10 is good, the media amplifies everything Big 10. The Big 12 has had very powerful bb seasons in the past and never got the same kind of media attention and favorable tournament seeding.

It happens most years in FB and BB. Because the B1G is #1 in TV sets, the media automatically caters to them. All the media hype, convinces B1G fans that they are better than they actually are, and then the bowl season happens (or in this case the NCAA tourney) and they are brought back to reality.

Obviously it's more apparent in FB, where they are usually about the #3-4 conference and they get worked in bowl games. In basketball the hype is probably a little more deserved, but it's still artificially high.

The Big 10 could have occupied all four Final Four slots, the Big 12 could have had no team advance beyond the Sweet 16, and the Big 10 could have swept all of the meetings against the Big 12 all year and people would still insist that the Big 12 is better than the Big 10.

If it's mature conversation you're looking for, you came to the wrong place.

The BIG 12 had a higher % of teams dancing than the big 10 teams and the big 10. The big 10 PR machine got them several wonderful seeds and it then it went Bang. Both are good conferences and any fan base can cherry pick stats to make themselve look better. The bottomline is, if you just looking at the seedings and results you would see who the clear winner is.....BIG 12.. Go Cyclones

Sorry, but, none of that happened did it? If it did I would be the first to say that the Big 10 was much better than the Big 12. Unfortunately, Big 10 fans can't seem to use the same kind of logic to see the Big 10 was over hyped all year. It was a good conference, but..............

my argument is who cares. the truth is Iowa would have finished near the bottom of the big 12. the truth is missou, baylor, iowa state and kansas could have all won the big 10, they may not have, but they could have.

Here is all your friend needs to know. Iowa State is better right now in football, and basketball.
