I vote to keep the fresh thread. Actually, the megathread is probably 70% people making posts that don't have to do with anything in order to have 20,000 posts or whatever stupid number.
I can't believe that many people actually care about a thread having x amount of posts, or derive entertainment from it. It takes all types, I guess.

Re: FSU, Clemson, Louisville and Maryland to Big 12?
What the Mega Thread needs is it's own sub forums. Like a sub-forum for realignment scenarios, sub-forum for conference specific discussion, sub-forum for relating things to Hitler. In fact CW should start a separate site called MegaThreadFanatic.com.

With a new commissioner, the odds of at least two more teams seem to improve in my opinion. He has a Big 10 background, that is a plus. I still see us going to 12 with an announcment before Fall.

Megathread is really easy if you just click last page on a regular computer. Anyone who is interested in realignment beyond Big 12, that's the best thread we've ever had. If you don't care about Big East, CUSA, MWC, BYU then it hasn't been that interesting since we added WVU/TCU.
Anytime something shakes out like the weirdness of Old Dominion adding FBS football to the CUSA, megathread shows me first. Sometimes days before ESPN even. For whatever reason CBS is ahead of ESPN on the last round of shifting. I have the CF app on my LG and you have click the page drop down in the upper right and then scroll through all the pages to get to the last page. I have found no other way around it.

It really makes me wonder how bad someone's life must suck to care what a thread count is to, or that the get the 20000 post or whatever. It is getting annoying trying to find the discussion points in between the geek filler.

The subject does fascinate me, but I'm one of the few who is on topic in my obsession with it.

I love me some megathread, but even this has spun out of control in 9 pages, the last time we actually talked about realignment here was on page 5..Just goes to show ya

I don't like all the posts about getting to 20 k, but i like being able to go to the last read post and catch up on everything in one place.
I can see if you don't use that how it might be easier to have new threads.
I guess my main question is, why would you challenge mega thread? Don't you know it could have us all killed?

Being able to take the short trip to College Park (although it would be get in and get the hell out quick) would be awesome. Other than that, I don't know how I feel about it.

Re: FSU, Clemson, Louisville and Maryland to Big 12?
Interesting...i like where the conversation is going. Before: Iowa State, Kansas State, Mizzou, and Kansas were the programs looking from the outside.
New losers:
1. Pac 12 - if the world moves to 16 team conferences, where are they going to find four more worthwhile teams?
2. Brigham Young - If the Pac 12 doesn't take 'em, no one will.
3. Duke, Wake Forest, Georgia Tech, NC State - None of these will be considered by the SEC. If the SEC moves to pick up two more teams to get to 16, it'll probably be North Carolina and Virginia. They could use a couple more top-tier academic schools with sizable student populations.
