LHN likely to show 3 football games this fall

I wonder if the Iowa State game will be the conference game since its in Austin? In the end I think this will be a BIG game as I see both teams have good seasons so I expect it on ABC/ESPN.

I don't understand how the LHN is getting away with bleeding outside Tier 3.

A lot has to happen for a conference game to get on, but like last year, I have no doubt it will happen.

Apparently ESPN figured out 1 football game per year wasn't good enough for cable providers to jump all over putting the LHN on basic cable in Texas.

The ISU game has been what was predicted on Shaggybevo. I wonder if there would be a deal that they'd also allow cyclones.tv to pick up the LHN broadcast. Otherwise, I hope Jamie says no.

ESPN buying content from Fox. Then paying the other conference school the Tier2 equivalent for the game w/ additional distribution options in state.

I dont see it. I think this will be a very meaningful game in November. KU was pure crap when Texas played them last season.

I would think that ISU agreeing to it will require 2 things $$$$$ and a guarantee that people can see it in Iowa and/or on cyclones.tv.

Maybe there is a reason to get cyclones.TV off the ground this season. Big 12 conference game only available on LHN and cyclones.TV. You'd have to think that will bring some money in to ISU in subscriptions - and also verbal backlash.

You bring in a lot of ISU subscribers plus a lot of Texas fans that don't get LHN. I doubt it would happen just because lhn is trying to hold cable companies hostage, but it should be a non-negotiable item for Jamie to allow the game on there.

According to KU fans the deal last year was money and broadcast rights for the game (Jayhawk Network). I wouldn't imagine ISU or any other team would settle for anything less than that.

Not to mention driving down the value of the overall tv package for the Big 12. LHN is not good for the conference.

We all know Texas is the cash cow, if 25% of their games are on tier 3 the Big 12 packages suffers.
