Florida State President has his facts screwed up on Big 12
The President of FSU sent a note to a fan that was very anti Big 12. The editor of the Seminole rivals website makes the guy's fact look crazy in this article. This is a must read. Free on the rivals site. After reading his resume, he is a climate change guy who worked at the U of Texas for awhile. I think he has a very definite anti-Texas bias in this.

Florida made about $50 million more in football revenue than FSU last year. Can FSU expect to be a real contender if their in-state rival will make a 1/2 billion more over the next decade? Of course not.....to stay in the ACC is to accept 2nd class status. No way the B.O.T. or the alums/fans tolerate this, regardless of the president's objections.

I'm no Texas fan, but it is obvious this President has a very biased view of Texas and the Big 12. It's one thing to not like it, another this to screw up the facts to your own purposes. Unless he's a complete idiot, he sent out false propaganda. Very unbecoming of a University President. (it will catch up to him)

I stated in the megathread, he is brushing 10s of millions of dollars under the rug and "internet fan" and sports booster fan aren't going to side with him on that issue.
We've seen with Mizzou and A&M that mob is more powerful than even a president or AD.

This is a perfect example of not only how University Presidents and administrators are truly politicians,but an example of how lucky Iowa State is to have had such a forward thinking and pro-athletics President at the helm over the past few years. Once again, thank you President Geoffroy! (Pres. Leath appears to be taking over in fine fashion)

Frankly, it makes Florida State look bad to have their president slinging mud about academics in a letter that is AT BEST only 50% accurate. If you're going to talk $h1+ about 10 universities...might want to not be completely off base with your own facts.
Rush Limbaugh paints things in a less slanted way than the points in that letter.
FSU fans seem to think he's full of BS though.
