Can't believe the ACC folded that quickly after North Carolina went to the Big Ten.

I like ten as well, but the networks who are our cash cows now will tell teams what they want or no tv money. It sucks and is bullcrap, but it is what it is and they are the driving force with conference musical chairs.

People like pointing fingers at school x or school y, but whatever happens in terms of Big 12 expansion will be because of the network's wishes. Its why Louisville wasn't added. Not because DeLoss Dodds doesn't want more teams.

It's "official"...Notre Dame and Big East reach an agreement for ND to leave 2 years early... Notre Dame, Big East agree on Irish exit 2 years early to join ACC - ESPN "Don't worry Boss...they can't do nothin' 'til they're through sparklin'..."

A bit surprised the Big East didn't get the exit fee, but not paying Notre Dame for the rest of the teams leaving isn't a horrible truce.

I still am kind of surprised they didn't go the Catholic 7 route where they have some teams 2-4 hour drive away and the furthest trips aren't that far. Should the ACC get 3-4 poached by SEC/Big Ten as rumored causing others to look at the Big 12, it'll be Big Ten or Catholic 7 for them. Nothing else makes any sense at all.

Dear ACC: ND did not help The Big East with only partial membership and now look at The Big East or Big Least. They will do the same to your respective league, but good luck on that and keeping teams to not jump ship.
Dear ND: Join a conference in full membership not partial, stop being ******* and join a big time conference with full membership so you know when you get to a title game in football you do not look silly because you played to many **** teams.

It seems NC gets credited with the 'toughest schedule in the nation' year after year. I look at their slate of games and yawn. OOOOO.....Navy! Big Ten schools! Give me a break
Dude now talking an ACC - Big 12 alliance with the potential for a 13th game to be played between the conferences. Get ESPN to pay to sponsor and more cash rolls in.
13 game regular season? Throw in a conference championship game and a two game playoff and a school should just join the NFC West

Bowlsby was just interviewed by Musburger and Fraschilla during TT/KU. Touted the benefits of 10 ($/school, round-robin, etc.) but said "we're mindful of the ever-changing landscape".

They probably would like to send Nebby back to ther B12 because they are not known for kNowledge and they were demoted. Sounds like the Hoks are paying $2M to in Maryland handouts.

So Maryland's travel gets subsidized. Do teams like Nebraska get a partial subsidy when they travel to Maryland or Rutgers?
We've seen with TCU that a team can bail on a new conference affiliation before it ever happens. I wonder how easily a conference can bail on new additions if it finds its more desirable "fit".

Re: ***OFFICIAL BIG 12 EXPANSION THREAD 2.0***
Maryland AD is broke. They cannot pay the exit fee. So this is a sneaky way to pay for the exit fee and not ruffle feathers.
