So with a guarantee of ~$20 Million....When do we see a SEZ announcement?
I believe JP has said there are other maintenance/upgrade issues that would need to be taken care of first. I'm pretty sure the SEZ is on his radar, but just behind a few other priorities.
How much more money will this really mean for ISU? I mean, I get the 20 million per year, but what is the net effect if student fees are no longer given to the athletic department, and compared to what money ISU gets from TV now? Does anyone know or have an approximation?

There are 23 ESPN games, 38 FOX games and 10 member-retained games. That is 71 games. There are 45 conference games (10 teams times 9 games /2). That leaves 26 spots for non-conference. 16 for ESPN and FOX. I don't have a count of how many non-conference home games the Big 12 teams have this year, but most years there will be more than 4 road games. This means that EVERY GAME* is pretty much guaranteed to be on TV (or Cyclones.TV for one game/year). *This doesn't count non-conference road games.
So much for the death of the Big 12. We're around for at least another 13 years.
