I don't know why officials do this. I would rather just not know about a bad calls and have a small part of me believe that maybe they make the right call.

After the fact, I do not get anymore closure knowing they screwed up especially if the result could have been the ball game.

That doesn't bother me as much because we sucked that year and ended up losing 50,000 to -3.

I'm only bitter about the ones that mattered.

But yeah, that was a brutal missed call.

In that case wouldn't the ball go back to the spot that it was fumbled? Texas may have scored the next play, but OSU should have gotten that chance to make a stop.

No, they could. It was quite clear that the ball left his possession prior to the end zone, and quite clear that the OSU player found it and picked it up. However, I don't think that they could rule on that because it was being reviewed for a touchdown rather than a fumble (and it may not have been recovered until after the touchdown signal or the whistle).

That was 2007 (my first season ticket year).

This would have been the correct call, IMO.

That wasn't a touchdown, but Texas still had the ball.
