Those saying no on here apparently dont understand college football
Snyder had a run over something like 10 out of 11 years where K-state at minimum was 5-3 in conference games...and most of those years they were 6-2 and 7-1 win seasons. Pretty phenomenal run right there for a helmet school, let alone KSU. Definitely a top 5 coach of all time.
Now, onto Ron Prince driving KSU off a cliff....NOBODY seems to point out that Snyder went 4-7 and 5-7 in his final 2 years there, starting the decline. Especially 2005 where the Big 12 north was putrid, and KSU played a stupid weak Big 12 schedule and still went 2-6 in conf. Snyder needs to field at least a good portion of the blame for the fall off.
He's done a great job resurrecting them for sure, but don't lay all the blame at Princes feet. Snyder's 1st year back, he was coaching some of the kids he originally recruited. He wasn't gone that long and was a part of the programs stumble.
I hate him, but he's damn good.
If Paul Rhoads can do at ISU what Father Time did at KSU, I would take that in a heartbeat.
