Is Bill Snyder one of the Greatest Ever

Just thinking about this guy. He took a program that had to be one of the top 5 worst programs in history and turned them around into a National Power. Then retired. Let another coach run the same program into the ground. Unretired and reterned the program back to a top 10 team within 3 years. I think he would have to be a top 3 of all time coach. It's simply amazing what he has done with so little. What do you all think?

Re: Is Bill Snyder one of the Greatest Ever

Bill Snyder is a not a great coach, he was just in the right place at the right time. This "turnaround" is just the law of averages coming into play. It was inevitable that a godawful terrible pisspoor piece of **** program like Kansas State would go on a run of winning. They are lucky their school didn't completely drop football before this guy came along.

The best thing they could do is five minutes after burying him, torch the program. It will never again have as good a record as it does on that day.

Agree that he is one of the best of all time. It pained me to type that but you can't argue his results.

Well, he has coached since WWI, so he's had a lot of opportunities to become one of the best.

I concur.... painful to say it, but it's really quite impressive what Snyder has done there.

I anticipate they'll quickly return to being among the worst programs in the nation when he leaves for good......the silver lining.

Yes - Bill took a turd and made ham salad. Retired, program fell apart, was rehired and he did it again. Like it or not, what he does works.

Yeah that 73 year old Turd Face Snyder just happens to be the greatest coach in the modern history(since 1989) of the big eight/ 12 conference.

Having said that now cyclones: Lets Beat His *** Black and Blue and send him back to the little apple riding on a big fat pillow. lol

KSU isn't really a national power.

Do you have to be ranked in the top 4 to be a national power?
