Some of the commentary in this article is relevant to the conversation. I was really hoping Bama and ND would lose last weekend, it would have made things much more simple. I somehow see KSU getting screwed by undefeated Oregon and/or ND, because either is the "sexier" pick. But we'll see. Agree that this would be a great year for the 4-team playoffs to have started.

How about because Notre Dame is better than them? That sounds like a pretty legit reason to me. From what I watched, it was very evident too.
