Make sure you don't call the charge. But make sure you call the foul on the scrum.... -

Re: K-State only has 8 commits. 2 are from iowa
I heard through the grapevine that Bill Snyder is after the Derby kid that transferred to juco from Iowa because they didnt want him as a qb. Snyder is recruiting him asa qb, anyone else heard this?

Plus they have to wait for other guys to get academically ineligible at other schools, then they get them.
he's not leaving anytime soon. I'm on KState campus once a month and there is no speculation that he is leaving.

Snyder's eye for talent is second to none. I wouldn't put too much (any) stock into their lack of a class at this point.

My guess is staff is having a difficult time converting the recruiting DVD's back to Betamax for Fr. Time to preview. They'll get it done right before signing day, load up with the best JUCOs, and still whip ***** next season.

But you can't argue with their success. Another factor is Snyder's stipulation for making an official scholarship offer. I'm fairly certain that he will not allow an offer to be made until after he sits down with a recruit on an offical visit and makes a decision that the guy would be a good fit for the program. Granted, other coaches also often have situations where an evaluation of the visit is the determining factor. There are also coaches who throw out scholarship offers in the hopes of generating enough interest from a recruit to agree to schedule a visit.
A policy like this probably hurts Snyder with some recruits who want the security of having a scholarship offer before they agree to visit. At the same time, it probably leads to a little more buyin from both sides when a recruit gets added to the commit list. A recruit comes to a Kansas State visit with a goal of convincing Snyder that he deserves an offer rather than simply not doing anything dumb enough to cause an existing offer to be pulled.

Whatever it takes...that old man can coach. Colin Klein probably wouldn't have looked all that great either being he was a WR when Snyder got there. I can't really think of someone physically more comparable to Derby than Klein is who has also had success.

Klein is one of the very few that were successful QBs. I like my odds that Derby will be nowhere near the QB Klein is.

The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come. -

Is there a team in the league that loses more players to graduation than KSU?
