Re: K-State only has 8 commits. 2 are from iowa
Why doesn't it make sense? He's having a big season, lots of national press, then with lots of slots left, gets to bring in much more high profile players. Good gief, it's still over two months to signing day--what's not to like? Chck back then.

Re: K-State only has 8 commits. 2 are from iowa
And this year's senior class includes five players who transferred from other four-year schools, 13 talents from the community college ranks, and nine freshmen, with three of those being walk-ons. So what is new on Snyder's recruiting scheme? -

kansas is lamer than iowa, why would anyone want to go there? If you plan on driving through that **** to death pile of garbage state on the turnpike, you may run out of gas.

Zombie, KSU out of state recruits are flown into the Manhattan airport. They are never aware of how far they are into the middle of nowhere. By the way, do you really think there is much difference between Ames and Manhattan? After spending considerable time in both towns and universities, I can tell you that they are very similar.

One is 25 min from a city of a half million. The other....well...it shares the name of a big city.

Here's his Rivals recruiting rankings the last 4 years- 58, 68, 63 and 92. With that he went 10-2 last year and this year won the conference and is playing in the Fiesta Bowl. Once he does retire it's going to be a tough position to step into. Very tough place to recruit and you're following a legend who was able to win at an unbelievable rate without having anywhere near top 20 classes.

But how many schollies do they have available? Maybe not too many seniors on this year's team.

It wouldn't be all that shocking if Kansas State's next 2 seasons are similar to their 04 and 05 seasons after the last time they played in the Fiesta Bowl.

You don't even have to look past their 2 deeps to see this isn't the case. They are losing 6 seniors off their fall depth chart O and 13 off the D. They also lose both starting and back up kickers and their punter/holder. That is 22 off of their 2 deeps. Even if that was every senior they had they would still have a lot of schollies available.

Snyder is heavily into gray shirting, ala the SEC. He has at least half dozen players going on scholarship for second semester.
