Agree on recruiting aspect but remember Sonny's dad was Head Coach at Tech and Sonny went to high school and college in Lubbock.

I think Cal's a better job than Tech in a lot of ways. Dy-kes' personal history in Lubbock might be the difference though. I hope not... last thing we need is another guy in the Big 12 who will stay in one place forever.

I guess he finally did beat Paul Rhoads, so there wasn't much more reason to stay around the Big 12.
