whats their message board .com?
If the Tech admins are magically reading this, I would like to point out the following things about Gene Chizik as a possible candidate:
1) Big 12 experience
2) Winning experience
3) Good recruiter
4) Loves big rivalries and passionate fanbasses.
5) National Championship winner.
Folks, it's worth your consideration. I heartily recommend Gene Chizik for your sudden vacancy.

Man, Tech is taking over for us in the "getting kicked in the stones" area as of late...
they are taking it better than we did losing to that team out east last night.

A good candidate for Texas Tech would be Cincinnati's Tommy Tuberville. He has to be looking for an upgrade and the Big East is awful.
:biglaugh:
I would imagine they make another run at Art Briles with the same result.
Would Chizik want that? Maybe. And TT might buy into it if they are desperate enough. At least he has a national championship. But I wonder if they would take Auburn cast-offs twice. Bobby Petrino is out there, too. I wonder if they would touch that. (Sorry, bad turn of phrase.)
They are getting where ISU basketball was at when they hired Fred and hope for the best. They might have to hire the "TT alum with potential." Whoever that would be, Kingsbury?
Edit: TT boards pushing for Kliff Kingsbury pretty hard. Easy sell in Lubbock, OC for A&M putting up huge numbers, alum.
Dear TT,
Please hire Chizik

Tech has virtually no standards. They MUST be making a run at Petrino...
well i don't see why we can't start the 2013 season 5-1 now :)
Well from 2002 to 2009 they never won less than 8 games and only won more than 9 on one occasion You see it more often then you think that a new coach has a slump in the second year (look at Rhoads), so I'll forgive Tubs that season.. Between 2000 and 2001 Tech only won 7 games a season.
Considering the upheaval of how Leach left and some of the issues they have had down there all while playing a tougher schedule, I think two 8-5 seasons are right about the same as what Tech is use to. Leach wasn't ever going to win more than 9 games on a consistent basis. He had been there forever and had only done it once.
