Re: Tommy Tuberville to Cincinatti?
Somehow, to me, TT to Cincy makes more sense than BB to Arkansas.

Than I looked at Cincy over the past few years. They have former coaches at MSU, Notre Dame and Tennessee. You can have success there too evidently. I still don't get giving up being in Texas and the Big 12, but I wouldn't say Cinci is a huge step down. Well, clearly it is a step down or the sports world wouldn't be shocked. But, it does seem like a step down to get a step up. Cincy is clearly a coach feeder school while TTech is not.

He probably knows he is getting axed next year if he doesn't go 8-4 at least. Might have caught heat for the awful loss they had to Baylor in Jerry world blwoing a huge lead.
I was pretty impressed with TT in that game in AMes lot of big and fast guys on D and WR/RB. This is probably a good thing for ISU getting a win in Lubbock next year would have been tough Tuberville is a good coach.
Tech deserves this for what they did to Leach. Hopefully Tubbs rips them publicly.

Re: Tommy Tuberville to Cincinatti?
A guy like Tuberville has a better chance to win a conference championship at a place like Cincinnati, then he does at a place like Texas Tech.

Cinci isn't a better job in terms of geography or conference but in terms of administration it is.

Re: Tommy Tuberville to Cincinatti?
I was just listening to the Dan Patrick show and heard that Tuberville was at dinner with a group of recruits the evening before the news that he was leaving for Cincy broke and was asked by the recruits how long he planned to be at TTU if he wasn't fired. Apparently he skirted the question, excused himself for what everyone presumed was a bathroom break and never returned to the table.
Classy guy

Re: Tommy Tuberville to Cincinatti?
I have never liked Tuberville for some reason, but I couldn't point to anything in particular as to why I felt that way. At least now between this story and the video of him yanking the headset off of his assistant earlier this season I have a better reason to feel that way.
