Your argument is proving my point. They killed a turkey. I'm not condoning what they did. The media has sensationalized it though. Meanwhile, thousands of alcohol poisoning, balconies falls and rapes go unnoticed. Keep fighting your worthless fight for turkeys that millions of Americans eat every day though man.

im not fighting for animal rights, just that you think it's something that a handful of college kids would do on a saturday night is silly. Go ahead and red herring though with your college is dangerous thing though. It almost proves something.

Never said its something average college kids do. Classic post by you though trying to out of context me though. What I said was that most college students do much worse on average.
I'm sure you are very happy that the media sensationalized the death of this turkey though. All this media coverage could have been used much better on your friend that fell. Or the multiple of mine that have.
Re: Jayhawks Torture Turkey
Idk renting a turkey to punt around a party seems pretty bad. I don't think it's sensationalism at all when a group that is affiliated with a university kills an animal for fun. I realize you're probably in a frat and don't understand that they can do bad things but that's all my point is. Also this isn't normal college behavior so it can be viewed as weirder or worse.

They didn't rent it with the purpose of punting it around the party. They rent it every year from what I've read and heard. Also I'm not in a frat. 0-2 on that post though.
Also, in my opinion, drinking until you die and raping women is much weirder and much more perverse than this situation. Hopefully you can agree with that.

Youre trying to get me to say rape and dying isn't bad which is not what my point is. But this event is far less common, thus the media coverage. The fact that there are more depraved acts that are possible isn't particularly interesting because they happen all the time. I'm done discussing this.

Which is exactly my point. This is a ******* turkey.
Apparently things that happen all the time just don't deserved to be covered by the media.

They're frat guys. It doesn't need to be stated, it's just expected.

Yet this turkey incident is such a big ordeal when it happens one time.
And especially since a Greek Organization was behind it. Had this been just a random college freshman... It would have blown over.
Re: Jayhawks Torture Turkey
it's a shame that more things or articles aren't written when fraternities and sororities do good things and when they fowl up, (no pun intended) that overlooks all the good they do. Fraternities and Sororities are all not created equal and widely differ from each other from campus to campus. Some do more than others, for the common good, but the media loves to stir things up when bad things happen not including what happens to these Greek chapters. What is wrong to kill the turkey, yes. But my goodness I think there are obviously much worse things Americans should be concerned about that what happens at some parties whether it's a a fraternity/sorority or some off campus house.
Re: Jayhawks Torture Turkey
If there is no pun intended, then why did you intentionally misspell the word "foul" as "fowl?"
Re: Jayhawks Torture Turkey
This has been argued a few times on here before. There are good, normal frat kids like my friend Sam. And there are ********* frat kids like my other "friend" Chris.

correction...it was intended
