Ding, ding, ding... we have a winner. This example right here shows why you can't put your trust in anyone. Even when the woman breaks down and admits that she made the whole thing up, she doesn't face anything for those false accusations... AND... the accused rapist is forever tarnished.
So take Bubu's case for example... even if he is found 100% innocent, it will be too late. His name and his reputation have been permanently damaged.
So as long as these people who engage in sex understand what they might be facing going in, then I guess none of us should feel sorry for them if they get accused of rape, right? If you drink and drive, you just might run someone over. I don't feel sorry for you. If you engage in sex with someone and get accused of rape, you should have known that was a possibility, so I guess I don't feel sorry for you. Tough break I guess.

It seems like a lot of you are concerned about a person's reputation being tarnished when falsely accused of rape...regardless of how you feel about harsher penalties for false accusers, why do you not also blame the people jumping to conclusions about the accused?
If we truly presumed innocence until proven guilty, why would anyone's reputation suffer?

Yup, this one example of a false accusation, which you heard 3rd hand on an Internet message board, clearly confirms your view that all of humanity can't be trusted and we should all stop having sex.
