Holgorsen should have spent less time yapping at the refs today and more time coaching up his team.

We should be ashamed to have lost to these clowns at home.

Re: Pinstripe Bowl - WVU vs. Syracuse
The Pinstripe was the prefect storm to stop WV, cold wet, sloppy weather where guys like Austin are no factor because their speed is nullified. Their whole offense is built around completing short passes and making guys miss after the catch. If guys can't make sharp cuts, they can not make guys miss. Yes, their defense is horrible, but that is the way it was all year.
As far as TT, the Gophers attacked them exactly the way ISU should have, run right at them with a heavy package instead of trying to beat them on the edge with scat backs. Also, TT must have had 150 yards in penalties last night. It was like they were trying to figure out ways to keep the Gophers in the game.

Re: Pinstripe Bowl - WVU vs. Syracuse
We lost at home to WV on senior night and a chance at a beach bowl on the line. Just wanted to repeat that.....ahhhhhh.....let that waft up and savor it for awhile. We lost to Texas Tech at home. Iowa should have beat us.
I feel like it is the same football season over and over and over again. I could wake up in the morning and hear Sonny and Cher on the alarm clock. turn on the forum and hear people talk how great it is to be in the Humanitarian Bowl, or how we should really beat TCU in the Houston Bowl, or how we could win the big 12 north with a victory at home if the fans just cheer louder, etc.....I got you babe....I got you babe.
On the positive side, Memphis C.O.C. will be telling next year's bowl committees that we are ripe and ready for some real juice. It's football....this isn't freaking rocket science. I think Rhoads staff was exposed in the Bronx, but we will know for sure monday

Yes, their defense is horrible, but that is the way it was all year. We shouldn't have lost to WVU this year, and that was the one game that ****** me off the most. That being said, the Big XII needs to get rid of the PS bowl now. Great Venue, Great city, but at the end of December, if you have to do it twice in more than 10 years, there is no use going. Thank God we didn't end up in this bowl this year. It would have made ISU look terrible. There is a reason the "Liberty" bowl got moved to Memphis, because the weather usually sucks up north in December. This game should be for ****** teams down south, to come experience winter in the big city.

You know, as I think about it now, I am not sure we "should" have beat them.....they made our defense look like crap. Hell we made them look like the New England Patriots. I think we were playing from behind most of the game too. I'm po-ed too...just that we can't put a defense on the field where corner backs actually cover freaking recievers. I think other coaches laugh at our secondary coverage.

One of the biggest falls in history? From #5 (IIRC) to a loss in the Pinstripe Bowl to Syracuse.

Those are the only two games that I have been really disappointed in since PR came here. But if you want to take the next step you can't let a clown show like WV come in and beat you on senior day.

USC can jump over them on Monday....#1 pre season to losing to Ga Tech in the Sun Bowl.

Just a little bit worse than #6 in the country to a loss in the Humanitarian Bowl to Boise State. That was only 10 years ago! Wow, time flies. I am not a Stoops lover, but if you are an inferiorly COACHED team, he will beat you like a red-headed step child. Like the 2002 Toga Bowl and this year.
I want all the Cyclones lurking to know, I don't want to beat Tulsa nicely tomorrow.....I want you to kick their butt by 50! Do your screaming in the first quarter coach. Jump on these guys and then shake hands and pat them on the backs with condescending grins after you hang 50 on them like
Texas and OU do to us most years.

Ooo, solid point. And with Barkley not playing, there's a good possibility that USC could lose.

This didn't bother me.
