Yup. I'm assuming that those shirts didn't buy tickets.

Yup. The attendance at these games pretty much says it why the tourney should never be anywhere but KC. The tourney in dallas a few years ago was nothing compared to KC. Hell, the tourney belongs in des moines before it belongs in dallas again (and it doesnt belong in des moines at all).
Baylor should take note of this, their new football stadium could just have t shirts screen printed right on the seats. It might even look half full!
I'd be interested to see the attendance averages for the conference to this point. I would be willing to be the top three are KU, ISU and KSU.
I was never at the tourney in Dallas or OKC but heard it was ok but nowhere near as many fans. So glad they decided to keep it in KC esp with Missouri not attached anymore. Makes the most sense hands down.
These two teams have 1 B12 average PG combined between them and Myck Kabongo is back in Austin tonight. Oklahoma looks really deep and talented but they don't have a good PG.
This might be the worst D1 basketball game I have ever watched. Ever.

That's true, but another factor people on this board have somewhat overlooked is the conference ISU now plays in. It's based in the Texas schools and Texas / Oklahoma have shown they couldn't careless about basketball recently.
We added TCU and dropped Missouri. TCU has the least attendance out of any team ISU has been in a conference with in the NCAA Tourney era. And before you cite Colorado, TCU's attendance is much worse than Colorado and has been for years. Just look at the numbers.
But, in general, yes college basketball is less popular these days. GIA used to be quite the intimidating environment. Now, Okie State has to give away seats to fill it vs. Gonzaga. That's sad.
Yeah, KU is doing work, tight middle, and TCU. You know, about Louisville..oh, wrong thread.
The Big 12 is 3rd overall.
