Baylor's Austin a one and done?

I've heard this mentioned during other games this season that many believe he'll go to the NBA next year. From what we saw tonight I just don't see how any NBA team sees a pro athlete in him. Did he just have a really off night or is he just not that good?

lulz@him being a one and done. Dude needs about 4 more years just for hitting the weights.

Who was that other dude from Bailor who was supposed to be a one and done and we haven't heard from since?

Its size, you can't teach it. Perry Jones III wasn't that great either.

He would be fodder in the NBA unless he gets stronger.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style.

Agreed, I'm sure Austin would be a lottery pick. But how is Jones III doing in the NBA this year?

Averaging 6.7 min per game and 1.7 points per game. Yep, what a pro prospect he was.

He clearly needs to get stronger, but if you think that kid isn't a good player you're crazy. He didn't have a great game tonight, but you just don't see 7'1" with those kinds of skills very often. Most 7' frosh look like they are going to trip over their own feet at any minute. Austin can handle the ball, has good footwork in the post, and has a good looking shot. I think he could definitely use another year in college to get stronger, but he will be an NBA player.

Durant is a stick as well. But Austin for all the hype is no where near the player KD was. He seemed to whine on every call as well.

The dude was 20 and 19 last game. Try watching more then one game before you judge. People who watched just the Iowa vs ISU game would say Clyburn was garbage. Too bad he was killing bears left and right tonight.

    couple things

    1) He got drafted lower because of knee issues.

    2) He plays for OKC, you think he is going to play much on that team?

Based off of tonights game I think Britney Greiner is a better NBA prospect.

Re: Baylor's Austin a one and done?

This is a really weak draft class coming up this year. Austin is a 7 footer with a good stroke, you could do a lot worse than him with a mid first round pick. There's only a handful of rookies who actually contribute their first year each season. Austin clearly has a lot of potential.
