I haven't seen Baylor play this year, but when i watched last year, their QB seemed to always throw to his first option, who was usually open. They got rid of the ball quickly and their whole scheme seemed to revolve around timing routes. The QB just threw with the same rythm every play and teams rarely seemed to disrupt this rythm. We did a good job of covering his first option, and Baylor REALLY struggled with it and it led to a fairly easy win.
Their QB did a shoulder fake every single play and then immediately threw the ball. Exact same tempo every play. When his timing was thrown off due to his preconceived target being covered, he looked lost.
Having said that, I don't know how we slow down their run game.
