KSU fans are saying its not a hummer, but a used 2003 Chevy Tahoe.

Nonetheless, Coach Martin doesnt have a squeaky clean past...he had to forfeit a state title in Miami at the high school level because of cheating.

And shining a spotlight on KSU and saying they are cheating is about like saying water is wet.

If you read the comments about the article about every KSU fans says that he doesn't drive a Hummer, but an '03 Chevy Tahoe. I still think that's an awfully nice car for a freshman in college to be driving, especially if your mom lives in the same town and was quoted in a newspaper saying she "didn't want Michael to have to worry about his mom paying rent." So his mom struggles paying rent and he's driving around in a Tahoe? Very strange...

Who didn't know this stuff was going on?! You don't get players of their caliber to manhattan w/o cutting corners.

This sounds just like OSU to me. How do they go from nothing to the greatest recruiting class in the past 10 years w/ Oden, Connolly, and Cook. They cut corners and the NCAA needs to get their heads out of their butts and do something about it

Alot more athletes drive nice cars then you think. A poor athlete on a football scholorship not only has everything paid for, but also gets full grants and aid ON TOP of the scholorship. I knew alot of guys at Florida and Iowa State that used their pell grants to get some pretty nice cars. Nobody ever said it was smart, but it's done alot...

Now THAT was a good article! I'm sure Whitlock ****** off the KSU crowd by writing it, but I applaud him for having the courage to say it like it is.

No matter how much the NCAA and it's member institutions profess that they're all about what's in the best interests of the student-athlete, it's a flat out lie, at least when it comes to the revenue sports (i.e., football and basketball).

It's all about the BILLIONS of dollars in revenue. To believe othewise is to be naive. And while KSU is the poster child for selling out all of their standards for the short-term gratification of being a winner for a couple of seasons, all of the division I schools are guilty of this to some extent - even ISU. Although I'm pleased ISU hasn't walked nearly as far down the plank as most of its competitors have.

It's just hard not to be disillusioned when you see things up close. In spite of that, I'm still proud to be a Cyclone fan and to cheer for the school that I love so much!
