While I am glad for North representation in the Big12 offices....I don't have a lot of confidence with him.

IMO, he has left KSU high and dry. Synder will have more work than he wants by taking over for this ding-a-ling.

    HMMMMM.....
I'm going to be the first to float the conspiracy theory. I posted a message last night that I had seen on ESPN Bottom Line where the NCAA was taking no action on possible violations by KSU involving academic issues and improper benefits to 2 present players, 3 former players and a university employee. 1+1= 2?

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

I think he is leaving before the roof falls in when Martin and Beasley go pro. There is now way they are a good team next year.

I would leave too before the Prince "19 Juco" and Martin "One and Done" experiments blow up in your face.

This is a possibly an excellent day for Iowa State and the rest of the smaller budget programs in the Big 12. Tim Weiser is a proponent of revenue sharing.

Someone has caught on to why this move was made.

Fast forward 1-3 years and Wieser is getting fired for having terrible football and basketball teams. His stock was probably never higher than the day after KSU beat KU in basketball. Good move to get out of Manhattan ("the armpit of America") now.

How do you get tired of Manhattan? I mean, with the landmarks, the shows, Madison Square Garden...

    ...oh, wait.
