He is probabley one of five people that Bobby Knight had a strong respect for, and in my opinion, speaks volumes for his character! I cant think of a time I have ever seen the guy loose his cool on the sideline. You may be the first person I have ever hear say something bad about Barnes, so I am curious to why you think so?

Rick Barnes is a fine coach. He seems fair. He adjusts with his talent. He wins. Let's hope we beat him next time.

Rick Barnes should be Big 12 coach of the year this year. Sure they have a lot of talent but he is really coaching this team sans Durant.

Fran F alluded to Martin "controling" the players, apparently in reference to some suggestion that his team was out of control. He benched Walker in the Baylor game after he blew up, and it probably cost them that game, as Walker and Beasley combined for 75 of their 85 points. Walker responded to the benching by scoring 1 point last night. They have problems, no doubt about it. But they got beat last night by a very good, well coached team. Barnes used an old Tim Floyd defense on Beasley in the second half and completely frustrated him. And Texas hit less than half their free throws, or it wouldn't have been close.

For anyone that didn't see the box score from Saturday's game against Baylor, Beasley and Walker put up 75 of their 86 points. They really aren't much without those two.

Barnes is the man and I will always support Texas. They run a class program. KSU and their fans are subpar.

Yeah - curious as to why the hate for Barnes. One of the few really classy guys. As stated, he and his team have done a pretty good job this season after losing arguably the best player from last year.
They had some issues early on but are on a roll right now - exactly when you need to be.

I think KSU's problems go beyond MBB. Does anyone else find it strange that their AD bails out to do to the conference office? Prince trys to do the quick fix with 20 jucos and the NCAA is sniffing around the MBB program. I've said it before and I'll say it again. The whole KSU athletic department is ready to implode.

KSU looks like an NBA team. Red hot when the shots fall, but very little team concept.

A FB coach he hired that was on the "hot seat" basically the second he showed up in town. Had a neat first season, then fell apart last year - has been criticized for being very cruel to players - mostly his QB. Now brings in a ton of JUCO recruits - a grab to win now.
A BB coach that was handed the job, another sleazy type guy like Huggins, who was only in town for one year. A team that can't win with 2 NBA talents on the roster that will be gone next season along with 2 other senior starters.
Like I said, he did this to himself - but I'm not at all shocked for the guy to see the writing on the wall and bail.

I don't think it sounds like us at all. Our defense isn't bad. It's simply the fact that we can't score to save our lives sometimes - especially when the game is on the line.
