When our shooting doesnt work we get smoked. Defense is up and down. Sounds awfully similar. I believe we will get better and they wont.

I said after KSU lost to Baylor that they may lose out and finish 8-8 in leagues play. That would mean they lost their last 6 games after starting 8-2. Look at what they have left:
@Kansas
A&M
@ ISU
Granted, they could win all 3 as well, but if they lose out and finish 8-8 after an 8-2 start it will get interesting.

Even though they are struggling, I will be thoroughly impressed if we can beat them in Hilton. We are not so hot right now. I think we have a decent shot at them, but we don't have much in the way of confidence.

OOPS! Their home game is Colorado and not A&M. Nevermind. They will win at least 1 of those and probably 2.

Last time for Jiri and Clark to play in Hilton...if KSU is still struggeling when they come to Hilton, I would not at all be surprised to see us win!

The problem to me isn't really the loss last night since Texas is playing their way to a #1 seed but all of those other crappy losses.
As far as the future goes Beasley is gone and maybe Walker, although Walker's performance against NBA level athletes won't impress the scouts much. I'd say this will be the most talented team Frank Martin ever has which won't bode well. That said, Pullen can be a pretty decent player if he plays under control and they have good talent coming in so he might be able to put together a better TEAM than this one. If I were a KSU fan I'd be pretty worried that this was our one shot and it's going down in flames.
Barring a great performance in KC I think a tourney appearance would be doubtful unless they can win 2 of the next 3. It would be nice to help ruin their dream in Ames. Unfortunately I don't think we're a good matchup against them.

All those great players KSU has and they aer only 4 wins better than us. Just shows you how small of a margin of error there is to win in the Big 12.

Man I hope you're right. These guys really deserve to go out with a W in one of these last 2 home games. I'd love it to be both of 'em, but it'll be a stretch to even get one.

I came into the season thinking Martin was probably a horrible coach just left over to save the incoming Huggins recruits. He hasn't done a whole lot to change my mind, however I was pretty impressed that he benched Walker for the rest of the game after he got a technical (sorry, can't remember who they were playing). I didn't figure he had a backbone like that. However, he regressed in my mind last night when he blatantly dropped 3 or 4 f-bombs at one of his players during a timeout. You stay classy San Diego.

I agree, that language combined with the mug he has, the dude looks like he belongs in Scarface or an episode of the Sopranos more than he does coaching a Big 12 basketball game. He does not impress.

KSU's 2008 recruiting class currently has zero commits. They will have an opening or two when Beasley and maybe Walker go pro, but Martin can't count on having those schollies open. KSU is going to have a very rough season next year and we'll really get to see how good of a coach Martin really is.

Martin got way too much credit for benching Walker. He picked up his 4th foul on the T so anyone would have sat him down. They then proceeded to play better without him and got back in the game.
If Martin had any backbone, he would have yanked Beasley earlier in the game when he turned his back on the team during a timeout and proceeded to throw one of his pouting/temper tantrums.
