big 12 tournament

I'm planning on going down to KC for the tournament this week and was wondering where to go to watch the game. I'd like to pick up some tickets from a losing team, but will most likely have to watch at a bar.

Where do the Cyclone fans go and where would that be in relation to the Sprint center? I think the area has been renovated so I'm not sure and this is the first time the games aren't in Kemper. There might be fewer ISU fans this year than others because of our record, but I'd like to be among friends if at all possible...

Re: big 12 tournament

there are several nice bars directly across the street from the sprint center in the new Power and Light District. and several others around that area.
Its sold out obviously, but if im not mistaken scalping tickets is legal in MO. so there should be no problem finding tickets.

I think the majority of Cyclone fans will hit up Wesport, more specifically Kellys Irish Pub.
Wesport is not to far from the sprint center, i would say about a 10 min cab ride.

Re: big 12 tournament

I really hope the tourney goes extremely well at the Sprint Center. The arena itself will put Kemper to shame, and I think having all the bars and restaurants across the street will be great for the fans.

It's too bad ISU isn't a top tier team this year and would be a big draw like for Cyclone fans to come down to KC like some years past. We need this tournament to make its permanent home in KC. Let TX have football.
