NU's Cody Glen to LB

Heard on the radio here in Omaha earlier this week that Cody Glen is moving from RB to LB for the Huskers. Not really much of a surprise since Castille and Lucky are both better and will get the majority of the touches. I think it's more of a desperation move due to the fact that the LB position is a huge hole for their D. I think they expect Glen to be a starter, which is asking a lot for a college senior who has been a RB his entire life. I suppose he might have played some LB in high school, but I'm too lazy to look it up.

Obviously the Husker D needs a lot of work, and contrary to the belief of most Big Red fans it wasn't all the fault of Cosgrove. There just isn't a lot of talent on that side of the ball. I don't see any reason why we can't beat them in Ames this year.

Re: NU's Cody Glen to LB

We really aught to be able to run the ball on the Huskers next year. I'm talking somewhere close to 200 total yards on the ground.

It'd be nice. I'd take 200 yard on the ground and 200 yards through the air every time we take the field. That's hard for defenses to stop.

They bought 36,000 season tickets so there is a passion there…don’t hide it…let it out. I want there to be a passion in the stadium."

I agree. The Huskers have some decent players on the DL, but absolutely nothing at LB. I think they are just looking for warm bodies to fill holes on defense. I know Husker fans here were raving about one of their LB recruits, but these are probably the same fans who thought Steve Octavian would be an All-American.

Wouldn't that be great to just pound it on them all day. I really think NU is going to really blow this year.

I'm not even impressed by their defensive linemen...they were far from great last year.

Actually we pounded on them all day last time with 104 plays - a play per each set of 750 UNL fans. We just made some mistakes.

you mean like

Fumble on the goal line...

Meyer throwing a 100 yard TD pass to the wrong team...
