What's up with college basketball players these days. I remember when transfers were a big deal, because it didn't happen very often.

No chance. Not only will Mizzou not allow it but he would lose a year of elgibility on top of sitting out a year.

Re: Keon Lawrence Transferring from MU

Kids these days don't know what a little thing called "loyalty" is. Their biggest concern is how many years they need to stay in school before they can raise their draft stock and jump ship. They are also concerned about getting the right agent and living the celeb life rather then studying etc... Why do you think there are so many academic, and NCAA violations every year in college basketball? College has become a springboard to the pros and that is all. The NBA only created a bigger problem with their new rule that kids have to wait a little longer to go to the draft. IF the kid doesn't want to go to college and play ball and get an education then they shouldn't have to. It has made NCAA basketball a joke and cheapened the idea that amateur athletics is something pure.

All of these transfers are based on kids trying to dump a poorly performing team to try and get somewhere else where they have a better chance to get a look from the pros.
