We had secured a commitment from this guy but he flipped and went to NU. There was a lot of gnashing of teeth about it at the time and a lot of NU chest thumping if anyone remembers but it turns out he didn't qualify according to some posters on the NU boards.
Just anothe reason to wait until they strap the pads on before getting too bent out of shape about who verbals where.

i'm suprised someone hasn't thrown out the "we didn't want him anyways" line yet .... looked like a really good prospect unlucky for us he switched but luck for us he did qualify

if we wouldve gotten grant we probably wouldnt have gone after Haughton. Preliminary reports make me glad that we got Haughton instead of Grant

Yes, I have confirmed reports from my sister's best friend's pastor's brother's boyfriend's proctologist that the reason he didn't qualify was because he couldn't hold his breath for the minimum 30 seconds during the final testing in his underwater basket weaving class.....

Why waste a scholarship on someone who wasn't going to qualify? I thought it was a big loss at the time, though.
