J'covan Brown, stud recruit, didn't qualify. That will probably take 4-5 wins off of their season...he is that good.

he wasn't even really expected to start. It'll hurt their depth, but not affect them much IMO.
They are really really hyped about Dogus Balbay, a turkish point guard. I think it's unwarranted to a degree but i guess we'll see.

You could tell Brackins and Negedu were good players, but Balby was by far the best player on the court that day. He put so much pressure on the opposing team with his penetration as a point guard. Even more impressive was how good he was defensively. I came away from that game extremely impressed. The biggest question, particularly for a point guard is how his strenghts will translate to the next level at a program like Texas.
