    NU - no Big Man yet

    NCAA was consistent and ruled Chris Niemann ineligible this year. Niemann is a 6'11" former teammate of Staiger. NU still hopes for 7 foot center Jorge Diaz of Puerto Rico. If not him, they might not have a big man this year. Earlier reports indicated that ISU had also looked at Diaz.

    My how things change. Wasn't it the year before last that they seemed to have an unlimited supply of 7 footers? I just remember the game with them that guys got into foul trouble and another 7 footer came off the bench.
