IMPRESSIVE !!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a conference. For the time being our conference has the #1(OU), #4(MIZZ), and #5(TEX) spots in the poll as well as Tech at #7 and next opponent KU at #12. Most a result of big upsets this weekend. Luckily we miss playing 3 of the 5.

But the Big 12 isn't any better than the Little 11, it is just top heavy with those three teams. (heavy on the sarcasm)

A few weeks back I listened to some guy on Fox Sports Radio (can't remember his name...he fills in for JT) argue with a caller about what the best conference was in football. The caller said the SEC and the host said it was the Big XII! At first I thought he was just arguing to argue. By the end of his argument I was in agreement with him. At the least the two leagues are equal at this point in the season!

I'ts just nice to not have USC or Ohio State in th etop 5. They are both great programs but the get votes based on history because the "experts" are too lazy to research the other teams.

I've heard a few people saying that this year, and I really do think it's a tossup.

It's even more so now that Georgia appears to be a bit weaker than everyone thought pre-season.

Then again, the Big 12 North looks to be a bit weaker than some people might have thought as well...

And just a couple of days ago Southern Hawk was posting on this board that the Big 10 was just as good as the Big 12.

I honestly would rather play at least one of the tougher 3 in the south every year. Its hard to guage the kind of progress your team is making if you miss out on the big boys of the south for 2 years at a time.

I think Iowa could go 10-2 - that is if they actually had talent, coaching ability, and the entire university weren't mired in an internally handled rape scandal...

Don't forget that Oklahoma State is now in the top 25 too. I think they are #22 or something like that.

I do...Ricky Stanzi found himself in the latter part of that game. With that end of game performance he will be coming out of the gates firing and with the losses to Georgia and Florida the heisman is wide open to him.
