Big 10 FB is absolutely horrid!

I saw the second half of the PSU/OSU game last night on TV. These are the two best teams in the Big 10. If PSU (or any other Big 10 team) gets into the National Championship game it will be a travesty. The quality of play in the Big 10 is horrible...just horrible.

I don't know... PSU has previously put up some big numbers... Remember, their starting QB was on the sideline. I actually found it refreshing to see some defense. If either team would have been playing us we'd have been trounced. (Due to the fact that our secondary has the ability to make every opposing QB look like a HOFer).

Man, anytime there is a defensive struggle in a Big Ten game, somehow the conference is horrid and absolutely no good. While admittedly OSU hasn't faired well on the national stage, the BT is over .500 in OOC games against BCS teams over the last 10 years, and is over .500 since 2002.

If you think the Big Ten is HORRID, then college football as a whole is just plain awful. The Big 12 has absolutely NO defense, the SEC has less offense than the Big Ten (but they're AMAZING because they're the SEC), and the ACC, Big East, and Pac 10 are bad because that's the label they've been given for so long.

Look, obviously you're biased, but Big Ten football is about defense. Penn State was putting up some insane offensive numbers until last night. Illinois is a decent offensive team, and MSU, Iowa, Northwestern, and Minnesota are all somewhere in between.

Penn State vs...(neutral field as of today)

Texas -12
Oklahoma -9.5
Oklahoma State -6.5
Texas Tech - 3.5

The SEC has less offense than the Big 10? Tell that to Georgia, LSU, Florida, Alabama. That is a ridiculous comment. Those teams also have better defense than all but one big 10 team.

Penn St had been putting up good numbers before last night, but they had not played ONE good team. Not ONE. Coastal Carolina, Oregon St, Syracuse, Temple, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Purdue. The best team out of that group is 4-4 Illinois. Penn St would be the 5th best team in the Big 12, maybe 6th.

I think Penn State can score. We have seen it. I don't mind a defense football game, I realized that last night.

I really liked OSU vs Texas. That was an entertaining game, it wasn't video game football.

I am kind of growing tired of that, to be honest.

PSU would score a lot of points in any league against most teams, like they have in the Big Ten this year other than playing arguably the best defense in the league in Ohio State, at one of the toughest places to win in the nation.

Well prepare for Penn State in the title game because one of if not both Texas/Alabama are going to lose...and I wouldn't consider Penn State a travesty. They might not have the offense of a Big 12 team, but they are probably the best all-around as a whole (offense, defense, special teams).

I think Penn State gets rolled over should they face Big 12 or SEC champion. What will suck is that Big 10 winner will benefit from weak conference and get into the big game.

I'm not biased at all...just someone that is observing. You my friend are the biased one (I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt...because if you are not biased...you are just ignorant).

Big 10 football is very boring... no way to get around that.

PSU would get destroyed by Texas. I hope it happens.

I was completely ticked off yesterday to find out here in CR that I had to watch Michigan v. Michigan St instead of Texas v. OSU. Now that is a travesty folks! Two unranked Big 10 teams instead of #1 vs #6. You figure that out.

I could only handle about a quarter of that Michigan game.... ZZZZZ!
