    CU - trouble in house?

Usually not a big thing, but a few players spoke to the media about frustrations they are having with playing time. The thing that got me is apparently multiple players have been complaining about the schemes as well. Weird.

Considering their backup QB is the coach's son, I think that would be a big distraction.

Those two have a lot of talent, but they need to get their heads screwed on straight. Scott will get the majority of the carries this week as he is now the #1 guy with his counterpart being out for the season. His Uncle, Josh Smith, doesn't seem to realize that if the QB doesn't have time to throw the ball, it might cut down on his chances to get it thrown his way.

No question, the Cyclones have a great opportunity this week.

This team desperately needs something positive to happen before the year is over. We have a terrific opportunity to steal a win on the road and at least match last year's record. I sure hope we can pull it off.

They switched QBs every few series last Saturday vs the Aggies. Hawkins was moving the ball pretty good and got pulled after his series.

Does anyone have any strong feelings on a ROAD win this Saturday? This would be the time to do it....and then get K-State again.

If we do not win this one....I don't see us winning a road game until next year. And, I don't want to see that happen. We should knock off CU or K-State.

Re: CU - trouble in house?

Smith said the offense is scratching and clawing and beginning to figure some things out, but players and coaches must improve their communication.

"We're getting a lot of time before each play and we're just not talking through with the offense," he said. "Calling plays last minute and then going out there doing it and expecting everyone to go out there and do a perfect job, you know, maybe we should take upon that time to spend more time discussing and let everyone process and visualize their techniques before we go out there and just run a play.

"We've got to get the communication thing down, I feel like."
Hmm... does that sound familiar? It seems like CU is going through the same pains we were about 3 weeks ago.
