Re: TCU's Patterson to KSU
Wow. Great hire.
Agree with the others though. Recruiting in Kansas is tougher than Texas, even with the competition. TCU's campus may be small but it is in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metro and their stadium isn't bad by any means. Getting athletes has never been a problem for them.

Good hire...the big BIG XII gets stronger. Time to start slipping 20's in recruits ham sandwiches.

At least Gary won't have to change his wardrobe much.

Looks like the same thing with in reverse with Patterson: Dennis Franchione looked great with Patterson as his assistant at New Mexico and TCU, but didn't do so hot at Alabama and Texas A/M without him. Meanhwhile, Patterson took TCU to a new level.
I think Patterson is the real deal, our rebuilding job in Ames just got tougher.

Apparently Mack Brown didn't need Gene Chizik to win...

More pressure on Chizik to win games, yay!

For what it's worth - the article has been removed from Rivals... probably just means GP hadn't talked to his players or his staff officially yet...

I think Patterson is the real deal, our rebuilding job in Ames just got tougher. I see it differently - the only common thread there is TCU is good. I view the new TCU kinda like I do Butler in basketball - it's self perpetuating. We'll find out.

Re: TCU's Patterson to KSU
810 radio out of KC reporting story pulled- got out too early= ****** off players and people in Texas.

Re: TCU's Patterson to KSU
I think they probably hired him because TCU has more success beating ISU the last 4 years "Homemade beer, after all, is like a democracy. Every so often, you’re gonna hate what comes out of it. But when it’s good, it’s the best." - woot.com -

TCU should always be good. A major metro team in Texas, an easy conference, and top notch facilities... Not to mention all the 'talent' at TCU...

This is NOT a done deal yet. The guys that run the UT rivals site are on the air right now saying this might be just like the Les Miles to Michigan "rumor" that went out last year.
Stay tuned....
