Well, they were just plain awful for 30 years prior to Franchione and Patterson coming in 1998, so it can't be that easy to win there...

Judging from some of the replies in here you would think K-State just hired Pete Carroll or Jim Tressell. I'm not jumping off the cliff just yet. Let's see what Mr. Patterson can do in the Big 12 when he's playing Texas, OU, Texas Tech, OK State, etc.

It would look bad bailing on the team the day after losing a huge game too. If they had won last night I would say this isnt happening, but who knows! Anybody tracking flights :wink:

We played TCU in the Houston Bowl in 2005, so it's possible TCU could be picked as an at-large to a bowl game against a Big 12 team, especially a bowl game in Texas.

He has a pretty good record against B-12 teams. He has beaten OU, ISU, Tech and Baylor in the past five years. In turn, he has lost to Texas and OU (this year and his starting QB went down in that game).

When you coach defense like he does, your team tends to stay in games.

Interestingly, I just spoke to my daughter who attends TCU and is a huge football fan. Nothing has been reported on campus there.

Now KSU denying it as of right now...
