What is the real reason Ron Prince was fired? Prince is a minority coach with only 2 and 1/2 seasons and an average record. Any off the field issues? Also, it is understandable why K-State would try to re-live the past, but with Snyder, a 69 year old coach?
Prince had a higher turnover rate among his assistant coaches than interns at Mark Foley's office. Also, he was reported to have some strange proclivities that weren't necessarily embraced by everyone. Plus, bringing is 17 JuCos and 1 prep player and then going 5-7 doesn't endear you to the fans or administration.
K-State isn't the most attractive position at present. Snyder's hire is seen as an opportunity to build the program to respectability and either develop a coach-in-waiting or make the position more attractive to potential candidates.
