I already thought of this as a reason UT should be glad they're not playing. On the other hand, Missouri hasn't really looked all that good against good teams.
Not gon-na hap-pen, clap, clap, clap clap clap
Or it could end up like the CU vs. OU game in 2004 42-3, or the CU vs. TX game in 2005 70-3.
The way Missouri's defense looked the last half of the season this would be a HUGE upset. I just don't see it happening this year. However........if OU struggles to beat Missouri............. I could see the pollsters giving the edge back to Texas. OU still makes BCS but TX goes to National Championship game.
Obviously it could happen, but it would be absolutely devastating to the Big 12 and their feelings that they are far and away the superior conference this year. Mizzou has proven they are very beatable and if they beat OU then it will only suggest they are as well and we'll have another Big 12 team backing their way into the NC game.
Now with that said I do think Texas is the best, most complete team, so if they did slide into the NC game they would show well, but it wouldn't look good for the league IMO.
Anyway although I'd enjoy seeing a big upset this Sat, I sincerely don't see it happening.

OU by at least 3 touchdowns and they will get over 60 again. They don't think much of Missouri down here and they are wanting to make sure that no doubt is left regarding Bradford versus Daniel. I would like to see the North make a statement in this game, but I also thing OU is too potent.
It's football, it could happen. KU lost by only 14 to the Sooners at their place. I think Mizzou can score on them. They will have trouble stopping them, but maybe they get some turnovers. The field sucks that could help Mizzou. It would be a big upset but it seems to happen a lot in that game.
I don't doubt Mizzou won't be able to score on Oklahoma. The question is, though, will Oklahoma even be forced to punt at all during the game?
I'm not saying Mizzou can't beat OU (any given Saturday applies here, especially in the Big XII championship game). But me spidey senses tell me this game will have one of two outcomes - TT-OU or OU-OSU.
ou will win big, mizzou's defense isn't much better than iowa states, and well we know isu has givin up their fair share of yards.
What is the game temp going to be? 30s? I don't think Oklahoma has played in the cold all year, Missouri has at least twice, and that may have a major impact, remember 2003?
I dont think this one is gonna be close. I think Chase is an overrated quarterback. Granted he can throw a strike but all they do is shotgun the ball and in big games he has shown that if he gets pressured at all he gets flustered and doesnt do well. I predict that this OU defense is gonna put pressure on him all night.
