Rookies are paid way way way way way way too much for what they are worth. Sure they were stars in college but that doesn't always translate to success in the NFL. Make them earn the money, don't just give away millions to them

And it's another reason McCoy is not making the best decision for himself financially.

Maybe, its not about the money. Ever thought of that. Maybe he has a love for the university that we don't see very often anymore. Maybe he wants a National Title, or a degree, or whatever he wants to do at Texas. I guarantee you that he has thought this through and wouldn't be doing it if it wasn't in the best interest for him or his family

One thing to note. This is good for ISU.
McCoy comes back next year, which means when we play them in 2010, they will have a first year QB. If he were to leave after this season, than that QB would have a year to mature and would be a veteran by the time he plays us.
Not that it will probably matter anyway
