They list him as the 4th best QB in the draft this year. Smart move with Bradford staying.

NFL i don't think so, regardless of NFL size.....he hasnt developed. And this is only a guess, but, my guess is because he's so athletic, he's never had to work hard at anything to be good. The NFL don't bring along good players, they draft great players!!!! Good Luck Josh, i hope you got your degree before you left because the arena league don't pay like the NFL - there's always the CFL and you thought it was cold in Manhatten.....

He will probably be a first day pick because of his potential. Good pick for a team looking for a guy to be QB in 3 -4 years. He will most likely be a decent backup QB for his career. Being a backup QB is not a bad way to make a living either.
Step 1: Cut a hole in the box.

Sounds a lot like the scouting report on some quarerback from LSu--who starts for the Raiders.

You mean, like Kurt Warner? I can think of quite a few others who spent some serious clipboard time before they got their chance. There's one in Green Bay who doesn't look too bad, for that matter. Another (or two) in New England. I certainly wouldn't mind if the Vikes drafted him, and he sat on the bench for a while. Of course, KC will probably jump all over him, sometime after the first round.

I'm sorry, but there's tons of terrible QBs on rosters all over the league. Jim Sorgi? Brooks Bollinger? Ken Dorsey? Rex Grossman? Brian St. Pierre? You get the point, it's a long list.

If Freeman has anything upstairs at all, he'll be on an NFL roster for quite a while.

well anyone with an ounce of competitive fire for the game itself would not be happy with that. thats like saying favre would love being a backup.

i do understand what you are saying but he also has to become the backup before that can happen and frankly i see him as no better than practice squad.....at best.

from watching him over the last few years, the guy appears to have ***** for brains, good luck to him tho. he will need it.

Unless I'm forgetting a lot of key prospects, then this year's QB class is awful.

Well, USC's Sanchez and Georgia's Carr are two of the three ahead of him.

I was at this years game between ISU and KSU. Not only does he have good size for a QB, he put the ball on the money time and time again...he just needed a better supporting cast...he's a good QB no doubt, why he went to KSU, I have no idea

    I stand corrected....

After looking at a couple mocks, its showing him as the 4 rated qb to come out this year and would likely be a early 2nd rounder....That surprised me. The one thing i thought the NFL evaluators was striving for was accuracy. The one word i wouldnt associate with Josh Freeman is accurate....

But, as you pointed out, theres a lot of clip boards out there....just ask brad banks - oooppss!!!!

So who will Bill Snyder have as a qb? Prince drove a couple of them off already.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style.

Re: KSU QB JOSH FREEMAN ENTERING DRAFT

Wildcat here to answer questions on Freeman. He came to KSU because he wanted to play close to home (KC) and play for a black head coach (Ron Prince). Freeman is a good student. Freeman has lost 22 lbs and is not cut at 238 lbs. He has a live arm and can throw very accurately when not under pressure. He does not find secondary receivers when pressured by more than one defensive player when he is in the pocket. He makes very bad decisions when under duress. He does much better when he scrambles when under pressure. Freeman does not have natural leadership ability. He is not a guy that will bring his team back from a 17 point deficit. He has the speed to play other positions in the NFL. Watching him attempt to block brings laughter from the student section.

Re: KSU QB JOSH FREEMAN ENTERING DRAFT

Freeman probably could have been a really good TE. I'm not sure he has the mental ability to be a good QB. He'll do great at the combine because of his measurables. He has very good size, arm strength, and mobility. If I were a GM, I wouldn't waste a pick on him because of the peanut-sized wad of nothing that's stuck between his ears.

As for QB's for KSU next year, Carson Coffman was their #2 guy this year, I believe.

I think Snyder is trying to get a guy who will fit his type of offense better. I bet he actually does land a pretty good dual-threat QB within the next couple weeks. If not, look out for Mr. Coffman.
