Maybe it was because he didn't drive across 5 lanes of highway drunk and hit a car and tree like his Dad......whom by the way after that little incident got a contract extension....and his freaking name on the OSU court......oh....was a week after Larry was let go up here at ISU. What a world.
Other than performance what was the reason that Sean Sutton was let go at OSU? Or was it just performance? He didn't last long and I just can't remember the circumstances of his dismissal? Anyone care to refresh my memory of this? Thanks.
Because T. Boone Pickens said so. At OSU, what T.Boone wants, T. Boone gets.

Clearly, you have people at OSU that do not want to settle for mediocrity.
They have been very aggressive in upgrading their facilities. They want to win and win big. They didn't like what he was doing with the program and so they let him go and went about trying to hire the best coach available (as you may recall, they tried to hire Self right after he won the NC at KU). Self turned them down and they went after Ford from UMass (with a Pitino pedigree) and gave him the bucks to hire top assistants (like Butch Pierre).
On a side note, I would imagine that S. Sutton's dry cleaner's revenue is down considerably this year...that guy could sweat through a suit...man!
I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes.

They also have a sugar daddy to help pay for all that. When money isnt a problem you can build whatever and hire whoever you want.
