Kansas....consensus #1 next year?

With the Xavier Henry commitment, KU is going to be absolutely loaded next year. IMO, they will be the consensus #1, with depth, talent and muscle at every position. As much as I hate to say this, they may go undefeated in Big 12 play. *shudder*

No doubt. I thought they were going to be the preseason #1 team without Henry. He is just icing on the cake. We need Craig to even stay competitive with them next year.

I doubt they go undefeated in Bix XII play, but I am expecting them to win both the regular season and conference tournament. But, a lot can happen, so who knows.

If Brackins stays, ISU should win it all

Who would be as deep or as talented as them? UNC has too many question marks in their backcourt, Wake's losing Johnson, Duke's probably losing Henderson, OU is losing Griffin, Kentucky depends if Meeks and Patterson are coming back, Michigan State is losing their heart and soul in Suton, Pitt's losing Blair, Syracuse is losing Flynn, Uconn's losing Thabeet...I think KU will be very, very good next year, and definitely better than anyone else in the country.

I had three extra large glasses of cherry kool-aide at lunch. I sprinkled in a little cardinal & gold food coloring and now I'm ready to predict two Cyclone victories over KU in b-ball next year -- once at Hilton and once in the Championship Game of the Big XII Tournament. (It's going to take a few pitchers before I predict a win at Allen Fieldhouse.)

Kansas will easily be number #1 to start the season and most likely most of the year barring injuries. On the bright side though, I dont think the Big 12 as a whole will be as strong as it was last year IMO

I think Syracuse will have a strong case to challenge. Doesn't their entire Sweet 16 team return, plus Wesley (bonerman) Johnson??

Not the KU af the last few years - they play as hard (esp. defensively) as any team in the country. Self has got it going, and I don't see any team outside of Mich. State challenging them next year.

What about Villanova? They have a good group returning and a stellar recruiting class coming in. Not sure if they will get the nod over KU, but they're bound to be top 5

You're right. Villanova is will be as good or better than this year. If they won the national title, it would be no great surprise.
