Mizzou Basketball Signs Two
Looks like they are going the "Larry Eustachy recruiting method following an Elite 8". I'm always really surprised when a team just can't recruit following a great year with an exciting style. Two post players sign with Missouri basketball team - Columbia Missourian
Stone, a three-star recruit according to rivals.com, is a 6-foot-7, 225-pound power forward from Memphis, Tenn., who averaged 15 points and eight rebounds in his senior year at Central High School. Stone was also being recruited by Middle Tennessee, Tennessee State and Houston.
Underwood, a 6-9, 190-pound forward from Phoenix, Ariz., originally gave a verbal commitment to play at James Madison and was also being recruited by Oklahoma State, according to rivals.com.

They both seem a little lack-luster. I guess the same could be said about Oliver, too.

I'm really curious to see how Missouri does next year...I've had several conversations on whether or not they can keep what they have rolling.

Anderson seems to do well with his style, and he doesn't need the 5 stars for that. I think they will be good.

But he does need to have athletic big men that can run the court and defend all over (Carroll and Lyons). He also needs more depth than the average team. Both are difficult to maintain, unless you are KU, UNC, etc.

Re: Mizzou Basketball Signs Two
In February I thought without Carroll and Lyons next year that they'd be done.....after watching the tournament, they're loaded......everytime you turned around they were bringing another talented 6'7" guy off the bench. Good for them....bad for us.

It could be tough having to replace Carroll and Lyons, but I think Missouri will be okay. Mike Anderson is a better coach than what people will give him credit for. Not many people expected Missouri to do very well last season.

Mike Anderson seems to have a good plan.....and has been succefull in a short time in turning Mizzou around. Not sure what UAB's history was before him, but he seemed to do a nice job there too. But Gmac did a nice job at UNI too....so maybe there's a chance. We'll see.

Re: Mizzou Basketball Signs Two
Yeah I know they aren't exactly great recruits but remember that most of the top players declare before their senior year so what a team does especially in a surprise year doesn't translate the next year but in two years
